The solution was to hook up the Korg module to MIDI OUT A on the MIDI interface and change the routing in PatchBay accordingly. For some reason either the OMS driver for PatchBay or PatchBay itself cannot handle this and connecting the ports together in PatchBay doesn't cause the MIDI to flow. So I had connected the MIDI controller (my Roland JV35) to the MIDI A ports, and the module to the MIDI B OUT port. Edit #2: The trick to get everything working was the following: OMS expects that each MIDI device connected to the MIDI interface uses both an IN and OUT port.Save the patch so the settings don't get lost. Connect the OMS OUT port for the MIDI controller to the same IN port. Connect the AG Sound Editor OUT to the OMS IN port for the module. Double-click the OMS special driver icon, set the MIDI controller as a source, and the MIDI module as a destination. Use the "Test setup"-option to test the keyboard (OMS will play a message if it receives MIDI) and the module (module will play notes). Since the Korg module and my keyboard are not in OMS' library of devices, set them up manually. Connect MIDI controller and module to interface while everything is off. 7/1/2023 0 Comments Serenity taylor videoLate round right hand from Teofimo, yeah he’s feeling it. When Taylor lands, Teo just walks through it and lands. Teofimo is looking quicker, he’s looking smart, he’s looking sharp. Taylor landing the odd shot but Teofimo just taking them, and Lopez lands and you see Taylor react a bit more. This looks like THE OLD Teofimo Lopez the last three rounds and change. He looks a little shy at times, a little hesitant, and he’s walking himself into position and then doing nothing. Round 7: Taylor just doesn’t have the confidence or spark he had early on. If rounds are on the line he’s trying to “steal” them, and Taylor isn’t. Teofimo again throwing late in the round. Lopez strays a bit low, wasn’t on purpose. Lopez tries to lead, doesn’t land, but Taylor not doing anything either. Taylor landing some good shots, but he’s looking the less confident overall right now, I think. Round 6: Teofimo with some good work, lands to the body, Taylor lands a shot that stops him in his tracks, not dramatically, but just enough. Right hand again from Teofimo late in the round, and another nice shot before the bell. Taylor just stood there and had to eat that. Body shot from Teo, Taylor counters back, though. Honestly think Teofimo is starting to look really comfortable. Round 5: Lopez starting to do some good work late in the first minute of this round. Taylor tries to land in combination late, but Teofimo shoves him away and tries to explode to end the round. Right hand up top from Teo, partially blocked. This is very disciplined for the most part. He wants the uppercut but not quite there. Lopez lands a good, cuffing right, knocks Taylor slightly off balance. Teofimo returns the roughhousing by shoving Taylor over which gets a reaction from the crowd. Teofimo really wants counters and perfect shots, though he’s not OVERLY waiting around, he just doesn’t throw a lot in general. Round 4: Good left from Taylor about 40 seconds in. Lopez almost lands a hard left uppercut in close, it got there but didn’t land clean. Taylor pressing forward again, backs Teo to the corner, but Teo ties up after a left hand. Lopez with a right hand, he’s headhunting a bit, Taylor is mixing it up. Ward and Tessitore take some issue with that, blaming Lopez some. Taylor again warned for pushing the head down. Punch thrown on the touch ‘em up to restart. Early in the round, Taylor throws on the break again, and is warned again. They’re respectful of the other’s abilities but they’re throwing with purpose, too, just not recklessly. Round 3: Honestly, I think both guys look pretty sharp early. Lopez jabbing a bit, Taylor trying to land in combination. Taylor with a jab, tries to get in but smothers his own work. Taylor with a body shot, Lopez comes back with a little combo, another hook after it. Maybe the most settled we’ve seen Teofimo look early in a fight in a long while. Good shot from Lopez, again catches Taylor coming in. Still a caution in both, but when they throw they have intent. Taylor again looking to the body, but a sneaky little hook from Teo, too, got him coming in. Round 2: Taylor looked to be targeting the body a lot in round one, let’s see if that keeps up. Teofimo’s nose already dinged on the bridge, toward the inside, won’t leak into the eye. Counter shot from Taylor to the body, not a huge land but it scored. Taylor warned about pushing Teofimo down there. Lopez with a little left hand inside, Taylor throws and lands an uppercut with the referee coming in for a break. I didn’t use this feature much, preferring instead to take the headphones off. This Quick Attention mode was present in the previous model and is activated when you place your hand over the right ear cup. This is also useful when you’re at an airport and need to listen for a boarding call. Sony also provides ways to quickly override noise cancellation, pause or lower the volume of your music, and pipe in ambient sound if you need to stop and speak to someone without removing the headphones. It’s a great system and the app lets you fine-tune these settings to your heart’s content nonetheless, I quickly discovered that I preferred manually triggering my ANC settings using the Custom button. If you’re walking, the headphones will pipe in some ambient sound to improve your situational awareness (so you don’t get run over by a bus, for example). If you’re at home and relatively stationary, you’ll get full cancellation so you can concentrate on your music. These headphones sense where you’re wearing them and what you’re doing, and they tailor their noise cancellation accordingly. I appreciate the Ambient Sound Control feature in Sony’s companion app that lets you tailor noise cancellation to your situation. The Sony Headphones Connect app features plenty of customization for noise cancelling. This feature alone would make me consider upgrading from the previous version, and not just because it should extend battery life. When I returned the headphones to my ears, the music quickly resumed with no problem. I tried to trick the sensor by placing the headphones on my thigh, tightly around my neck, and even wore them like a crown and I never triggered a false positive. The music resumes instantly when you put them back over your ears. My favorite new feature on the WH-1000XM4 is a proximity sensor that detects when you take the cans off, so as to automatically pause playback. The stock USB-C cable charged the cans within a couple hours. Here again, Sony promises its optional power adapter will deliver the same quick-charge feature that provides five hours of listening time after just 10 minutes of charging, but Sony didn’t send that component, so I wasn’t able to test that claim. Sony claims the same 30 hours of battery life with noise cancelling enabled, and with my heavy mixed usage over the course of my review, I found the battery to last almost as long as the previous pair. So I guess I have to live with them for those factors alone.The carrying case is plenty tough and has some nice touches.
